Whether you're facing DMG now or honoring a loved one who has, our DMG Warrior program is here to support patients and families every step of the way.
Meet Baylie, your Family Support Resource:
My son battled DIPG/DMG for 15 months before he earned his angel wings on July 4, 2025. Walking through childhood cancer changed every part of who I am. I know firsthand the fear, heartbreak, uncertainty, and overwhelming flood of information — and sometimes the devastating lack of answers — that comes with hearing a diagnosis like DIPG/DMG.
When our family began this journey, we were desperate for hope, guidance, and connection with people who truly understood what we were facing. Now, because of everything we lived through with my son, I want to be that source of support for other families entering this fight.
I want families to know they are not alone. I want to help provide resources, share hope, and walk alongside parents who are facing the unimaginable. No family should ever be told to simply “go home and make memories” as though there is nothing left worth fighting for.
My son’s life and legacy continue to drive me forward. In his honor, I’ve made it my mission to make sure families facing DIPG/DMG know there is still reason to fight, there are people standing beside them, and above all else — there is HOPE.
With nearly 100 pages of DMG-related content, dozens of videos, and a multitude of support options, all of The Cure Starts Now's offerings can become a bit overwhelming. That's why we recommend signing up with our DMG Warrior support program, so we can tailor our support and recommendations to you. As a thank you for your time, we will send you up to five customized shirts to honor your warrior, free of charge.
By signing up, we can better let you know of events you may find helpful, such as the DIPG/DMG Mom's Retreat:
A national retreat to help form connections, the DIPG/DMG Mom's Retreat can help provide the much needed support that DMG moms need. It is a relaxed weekend filled with laughing, crying, eating, drinking and sharing stories.
While the diagnosis of DMG is difficult, this toolbox was built by families for families to help provide direction.
DMG ToolboxThe DIPG/DMG Support Group for Families is created by and for parents who are dedicated to honoring our DMG warriors, supporting fellow DMG families and providing a safe place to talk freely about your journey.
